About
We Explain the Matching Room. We Don’t Run One.
This site is for people who have been sold a sportsbook price their whole life and want to understand the other model: you name a number, another person has to take it, and the desk takes a cut if you win.
We write about back and lay, commission, depth, and the named desks that actually run a matching room. We do not take bets, hold funds, or run an exchange. There is no wallet here, no sign-up, and no trade button.
The exchange pages are editorial reviews of real operators — Betfair, Smarkets, Matchbook, ProphetX, Novig, and the closed Sporttrade desk. Comparison only. We do not take a cut from any of them, and we do not ask you to open an account.
If an operator’s own screen, fee table, or licence page disagrees with a sentence here, their screen is right. Facts are dated. We do not invent odds, bonuses, licences, or a legal status we have not checked.

Age gates differ by desk and country. UK and European exchanges are typically 18+. Several US prediction-market venues require 21+. We do not override the operator.
Gambling can be addictive. Use money you can afford to lose, and read the regulator that covers you on the operator’s site — not on a comparison card. If you need support: in the UK, BeGambleAware.org and GamCare; in the US, NCPG / 1-800-GAMBLER.
