US prediction exchange

Make the price, or take it
A CFTC-regulated sports prediction market that matches users against each other. You buy or sell event contracts; you can take the displayed price or post your own. The house is not supposed to be the other side.
How it works
Contracts are priced between $0 and $1. A winning contract pays $1; a losing one pays $0. You can hold to settlement or sell the position back into the book.
Novig’s own help centre calls this a peer-to-peer exchange: you trade with other users, not against a sportsbook. A “make” order posts the price you want; a take hits a price already on the book.
They describe the product as federally regulated event contracts under the CFTC, not a state-licensed sportsbook. That distinction matters for where it can operate — and for what the ticket actually is.
Commission, dated
As of October 2026 (futures-fee note dated 10 September 2026)
Novig publishes a fee schedule, not a single UK-style commission percentage. Maker fills are $0. Some taker trades are also $0; others use a published formula.
Official formula: fee = coefficient × price × (1 − price) × number of contracts. Only takers pay, and only when a fee applies.
As of that help article: pre-game straight trades on the app, website and API are fee-free even as taker. Live (in-game) taker fills use a 0.06 coefficient; futures taker fills use 0.06; parlays use 0.10 already baked into the quoted price.
A 10 September 2026 note on the same page says golf and tennis futures did not then carry the futures fee; other leagues’ futures did. Confirm the ticket. Deposit methods can carry their own charges — that is a payments question, not this schedule.
Liquidity and geography
US sports are the point of the room. Depth will still follow the TV schedule. An empty order book is not “no vig”; it is a wait.
Eligibility is physical location at the time you trade, per Novig — not your mailing address. Travel into an excluded state and they say you cannot place new orders.
Homepage marketing and the help centre have not always used the same state count. Believe the geo check in the app.
Who it is for
US users who are 21+, in an eligible location, and who want to post their own price instead of taking a sportsbook number.
People willing to learn maker versus taker, because that is how the fee schedule is written.
Not a Betfair account, and not available if Novig’s own map says no.
Comparison only
Compare Novig with ProphetX on instrument (event contracts), fees (schedule versus a winnings-only line), and which states each operator actually serves this week.
A “no vig” headline is not the same as a $0 ticket on a live or futures take. Read the coefficient that applies.
We are not a partner. There is no code and no “claim” button on this site.
We do not run an exchange, hold funds, or take a cut from Novig. If their screen, fee table, or licence page disagrees with a sentence here, their screen is right. No bonuses. No “claim” button.
