US prediction exchange

US sports, peer-to-peer
A CFTC-registered sports-native prediction market. You set a price or take one; ProphetX matches participants and, on its own lobby, says it does not take the other side. This is exchange-style trading, not a state sportsbook.
How it works
You pick a sports outcome, take the current price or post your own, and wait for another participant to match. Hold to settlement or trade out as the price moves.
ProphetX’s trading terms describe a central limit order book plus a request-for-quote path, fully collateralised before a trade is accepted. The instrument is an event contract, not a classic UK back/lay ticket — the economic idea is still peer-to-peer.
Their public materials say participant funds are held in segregated US bank accounts and that the firm does not trade against customers. That is their claim; the CFTC registrations are the regulatory fact to check on their site.
Commission, dated
As of September 2026
ProphetX’s own lobby, as of September 2026, prints “2% fee — winnings only.” Treat that as their marketing line, then confirm the fee on the order ticket.
A June 2026 launch release also described a “thin, transparent commission” on a peer-to-peer exchange. It did not replace the on-screen fee.
Straight-trade marketing lines are not a full fee table. If you trade parlays or other products, confirm the fee schedule that applies to that ticket — the lobby one-liner is not enough.
We do not reprint deposit or volume promotions. ProphetX has advertised new-participant credits on its lobby; those expire, exclude some trades, and live on their terms — not here.
If the ticket and the lobby disagree, the ticket wins.
Liquidity and geography
Nationwide CFTC access is a different map from a five-state sportsbook. Depth still depends on who is in the market that night. A new federal venue can look busy on a football Sunday and quiet on a Tuesday total.
Nevada is called out as not operating on the operator’s own page. Other state fights over prediction markets are ongoing in US law; do not take a magazine card as a legal opinion.
This is not Betfair liquidity, and it is not trying to be. Compare it with other US event-contract venues, not with a UK racing book.
Who it is for
US adults who can pass ProphetX’s own age, identity and location checks and who want a sports book that is an order book.
People who already understand they are trading a contract that settles to a result, not buying a FanDuel-style moneyline from the house.
Not a substitute for Betfair if you live in London. Different licence, different instrument, different room.
Comparison only
Compare ProphetX with Novig as US exchange-style sports venues — and with a state sportsbook only to explain the model, not the price.
Do not paste a UK commission percentage next to their 2% lobby line and call it a ranking.
No “claim bonus” on this site. If they are running a credit, it is on prophetx.co.
We do not run an exchange, hold funds, or take a cut from ProphetX. If their screen, fee table, or licence page disagrees with a sentence here, their screen is right. No bonuses. No “claim” button.
